The Vice President Finance & Operations is responsible for managing all DUES accounts, both at the bank and on campus, ensuring funds are handled according to the approved budget from the AGM. This includes overseeing all society transactions, approving expenditures, and ensuring the appropriate individuals (President, VP External, VP Internal) have signing authority for DUES accounts. The VP is tasked with receiving all payments due to the DUES, paying outstanding debts, preparing and presenting the annual budget, and making financial recommendations to the Council. They maintain financial records in compliance with DSU regulations, present funding requests at DUES meetings, and allocate funds to constituent societies based on the established funding formula. Additionally, the VP audits constituent societies, supervises key financial roles including the DUES Executive and VP Finance/Treasurer of constituent societies, and reports directly to the President. The VP Finance & Operations also participates in special projects aimed at advancing the goals of DUES.
