The Vice President External is responsible for managing DUES's external relations, including liaising with organizations such as Engineers Nova Scotia, the Atlantic Council of Engineering Students (ACES), and the Canadian Federation of Engineering Students (CFES). They oversee the collection and distribution of all external DUES correspondence, organize and post notices for relevant conferences, and chair the selection committees for conference delegates. The VP External also assists selected delegates in fundraising for conference-related expenses and prepares a budget to support these efforts. Additionally, the VP promotes opportunities for conference bids and leadership roles within external organizations, representing the President at key CFES and ACES events. They work to seek and maintain sponsorships, provide content for the annual yearbook, report directly to the President, and participate in special DUES projects as needed.
